It is a lot easier to tell the Eumeces apart when they are adults, but even this adult male Broad-headed E. laticeps could be mistaken for an adult Five-lined E. fasciatus. Throw in E. inexpectatus and you can imagine the difficulties in telling juvelies apart, even scale counts are sometimes unreliable. Oh well, any misidentifications will show up in the genetic work.
