The other day while at a place called 'ragged chute' in south east Ontario, I found a five-lined skink crawling out on the rocks. I'm so excited, it was such a big find for me. They are so cool! So-far this year, while field herping, I have found
20 Northern water snakes
1 Eastern garter (SO green! He had bright grass green on his belly and his sides and his head)
1 Spring peeper
Lot's of green, bull, mink, and leopard frogs
TMTC tadpoles
TMTC American toads
1 painted turtle
1 snapping turtle
1 five-lined skink
And some DORS: (I hate seeing these, so sad)
1 DOR Eastern Milk Snake (VERY Unfortunate)
1 DOR Snapper
1 DOR Painted Turtle
We're going roadcruising tonight, I'll post my findings later!
